Well, actually, I don't think you NEED the book - you are doing it exactly right: avoid, delay, obfuscate, and then, if all else fails, deny, deny, deny. "Baby? What baby? There's no baby!" And then run and do dishes or something. Well, that's what I do. But I guess you don't see me writing any parenting books, either, hahahaha! Thanks for coming by today - I love meeting new bloggers!

Just try to convince yourself that you intentionally went for the "eclectic" look! It's actually very chic now! =) Or maybe, just maybe you'll start a whole new trend.

Your hubby probably likes the stove-microwave contrast. I can visualize it in my house and like the idea.

I have no first-hand advice, as my son is a sensory-defensive SPD dude. He basically woke up one day and said he wasn't wearing diapers any more. Poof. Done. So I'm not an expert.

I do, however, have a lot of friends who've struggled in similar ways to you. What worked wonderfully for one of them was to give up for a couple of months. Shut it down. No more potty training. Just offer a really cool bribe for when he's ready and when he's gone, say, 3 days without accidents. Then tell him it's up to him to decide when he's ready to receive the bribe. My friend's son was a total control freak, so this really worked for him.

Sorry you're struggling with this. If it's not one thing, it really is another, isn't it?

Good luck!
